Stepping out into Deep waters.....
Hello guys,
I must admit its been a while.
I believe everyone is well.
Today I want to share something that has been on my mind for a while. Stepping out into deep waters. I believe God is saying something to someone to step out in faith and do what He wants you to do or what He has told you to do.
Lets take a brief journey into the life of big brother Peter. Matthew 14:28 says;
'Peter replied to Him, “Lord, if it is [really] You, command me to come to You on the water.'
Apparently, it was Peter that told Jesus to tell him to come. How many of us have been in that situation, 'Lord tell me to do this, Lord use me to do that' and maybe God is looking at us and saying are you really ready for that which I want you to do? Maybe you're praying for God to make you an evangelist, but you have not even preached to one person in the past 3 years. Maybe you desire to be pastor and you have been praying for God to make you one, but you're still a milk drinking christian and your teeth ain't ready to crack the bones yet. obviously you are comfortable in your comfort zone and not ready to step out.
The greatest obstacle to success is complacency – being in your comfort zone. Highly successful people will tell you that the secret to their success was doing what was uncomfortable; that they were prepared, actually eager, to make the sacrifices necessary to achieve success. Your comfort zone is your danger zone.....
You can not walk on water if you're not ready to come out of the boat. The boat may be part of your journey, but its not meant to be a part of your destination.
The next verse says;
'He said, “Come!” So Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw [the effects of] the wind, he was frightened, and he began to sink, and he cried out, “Lord, save me!'
So Brother Peter came out and was walking on water and doing the extra ordinary, until he looked around and saw the winds and the waves and became fearful. Maybe you have tried and then suddenly you see the 'winds' and the 'waves' and you're afraid. Maybe the devil has played on your mind and told you, you will never succeed. Suddenly the resources you thought were available are not enough. oh, there's no money or no capital to fund that business or to raise that child or the power supply you thought could sustain it suddenly became terrible. oh that admission into the school you applied for did not come through. oh the doctor's report said this. Take some time today and cry to the Lord the way Peter did, 'Lord help me'. Invite God into that situation and allow Him take control.
'Immediately Jesus extended His hand and caught him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then those in the boat worshiped Him [with awe-inspired reverence], saying, “Truly You are the Son of God!”
After Brother Peter prayed, the bible records that 'immediately' Jesus took control of the situation. Whenever you call on God on a certain situation, provided you do not doubt in your heart, something shifts in the spirit realm concerning that situation which goes on to manifest in the physical.
What 'deep waters' has God told you to step into? Have you put one feet in and you're like 'Lord, but its too deep and the water is too cold'.
Has God told you to begin that project or to apply to that school or to learn that skill or start that business or to apply for that job? Whatever it is, tell him, Lord, help me and step out in faith.

With God on your side, you can do the impossible, if only you learn to trust God through the journey.
Peace, Love and Cupcakes.....
