The Other Room......
Hello guys,
Its been a while.
Many things have happened lately which includes an interview granted to a certain First Lady, where she stated that she would not support her husband in the next elections come 2019 as things were not going according to plan, of which her husband responded in another interview that his wife belongs to;
1) The kitchen....
2) The living room......
3) The other room.....
Now this has sparked up a lot of controversy especially now that gender equality and women empowerment are beginning to gain recognition.
Permit me to say that he was referring to his wife not you and I, however, the home belongs to the woman in the real sense of it and she has to oversee every room in it to see that the home is in perfect condition at all times (including the inhabitants) not forgetting to oversee what goes on in the boardroom outside the home. (Proverbs 31)
But my main focus this morning is the other room which we have assumed to be the bedroom and the most important room in the house.
However, the other room is the power surge of the home. Its the place where you wield the powerful weapon of prayer in your favour. Its the place where things happen. Its the place where divinity connects with humanity. You know how food flows from the roots of a tree to all other parts of the tree? It is the place where the anointing flows from, to other parts of the home. It is the place where secrets are revealed and where battles are fought and won. The other room - The war room....
While any part of the home is fine for prayers, its always good to have a niche for real, and I mean real dialogue with God. The Bible speaks of Jesus who always retired to a solitary place, away from all the noise, away from all the hustle and bustle of life...... just to pray.
Remember war room?
There's no magic to the location of prayer, but scripture talks about going to the inner room (Matthew 6:6) to pray so as to get rid of all distractions and equally to hear clearly when God is speaking to you.We all know that sometimes the living room and the bedroom could be distracting. There's just that one thing you remember to do when you get into the bedroom. You want to fold those clothes, you want to write that proposal, you don't want to miss that TV show etc.......Does not necessarily have to be a 'room' especially if you have space constraints, even if its your corridor,or the stairs,or a chair....
Just get that one place where you know you can lock out all distractions and commune with God and get the devil's butt kicked! Remember the spiritual controls the physical. why don't you choose to settle those battles in the place of prayer, take the war to the place of authority and receive the victory even before the battle begins.....
And when Elizabeth and her husband prayed together, the impossible happened, grace began to speak and they began 'chasing their ten thousands'. Remember, a family that prays together, stays together, I beg to add that they also"slay together". They slay problems and challenges as they come.
Recall when a potential buyer stepped into the house for sale in the movie? He stepped into that room and said "wow, someone has been praying here". He could feel the presence of God right there. And that singular reason made him take the house.....
I encourage you to get one today!
Don't forget to watch the movie if you're yet to see it.
Its a life changer.
Peace, Love and Cupcakes.....
