The Seed of Today; The Leaders of Tomorrow
Happy Children's Day!

When I was a little girl, I looked forward to Children's day like mad. Knowing we would go and march at the stadium, play, play some more and rest at least just knowing I am away from school.
Fast forward to now, being a mother has not only made me appreciate children more, but has also shown me the value God places on them. Psalm 127:3-5 says;
3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court. (NIV)
Children are an inheritance from God, hence should not be taken lightly. They are such a sensitive blessing we should all handle with care, love, right discipline and in a godly manner.
This can not be done without the power of prayer. As a make up artist, when making a client up for an event which would take time, you would not want the make up to be messed up after a few minutes of coming in contact with sweat or stress. So prior to the make up, the first step would be to apply a facial primer as a base to set the make up well, so as to last longer for the event. In the same vein, as a parent, Prayer is the very first key to set your children on the right foundation.

Our children of today are the leaders of tomorrow and they can not afford to start on the wrong path. Start sowing seeds of prayer into their lives even before they are conceived. God knows them before you do, after all, He created them.(Jer. 1:5). Commit their destinies to the one who made them. you know when Obama became the first black American President,it shook the world. Your children can be that and much more. Joseph, Daniel, Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego, they were all policy makers and kingdom movers in their generation. Your children can be all that and much more. Cover their generation and dynasty in prayers such that generations to come will know that someone somewhere was praying their way through even before they arrived. Teach, Train and discipline them with the word especially in this perverse generation. Set them on the proper foundation to change the course of history. Invest time in them and be involved in different aspects of their lives, not neglecting them.

Prophesy into their destinies - "Daniel, you will depopulate hell", "Oluwafeyikemi, you are a kingdom champion","Bolatito, you are taught of the Lord and Great is your peace","Chimamanda, you are a kingdom financier".......
Here are some prayers you can pray for your children (culled from Rev. Mrs. Funke Felix-Adejumo - Mothers Summit)
Prayers for Children
1. I decree that my children are supremely blessed.
2. My children will be at the highest ranking of the land, highest ranking of their education and their careers.
3. I pray that the anointing and the power to be supremely blessed be placed upon my children.
4. Lord make my children’s name populous, make them well know all over the world.
5. Lord remember my children for good in Jesus name
6. O Lord remember my children in your mercy.
7. Thank you Lord for preserving the lives of my children
8. O Lord I pray that you multiply my children greatly.
9. O Lord make my seeds be a great nation.
10. Lord establish your covenant with my children, let my children enjoy your covenant.
On this note, I speak to every expectant mother reading this post, Isaiah 54:1 says:
"Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the LORD. (NIV).
Begin to call forth your children with their names. None shall be barren in the land according to the word of the Lord and very soon, you will give your mind-blowing testimonies. To every pregnant woman reading this, Isaiah 66:9 says:
Shall I bring to the point of birth and not cause to bring forth?” says the LORD; “shall I, who cause to bring forth, shut the womb?” says your God. (ESV)
I pray for you, that like the Hebrew women, you shall deliver easily and speedily, hearing the voice of both mother and child, your testimony shall be complete.
Amen.
Happy Children's Day.
Peace, Love and Cupcakes.
